
Our Teachers
Each of the staff members at Great Beginnings Early Learning Center shares a love and understanding of young children. All the teachers have CPR and First Aid training. Every employee either has a degree in a field related to Child Development or is currently working on one.

Miss Andrea, Owner/Director
Miss Andrea has her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Sociology from University of California, Santa Cruz. In addition to her BA she has completed 31 units in Early Childhood Education through the Monterey Peninsula College Early Childhood Education Program. Andrea has been working with preschool children since 1995. She began working as a teacher’s aid while attending UCSC. After graduating she ran her own family childcare business until opening Great Beginnings Early Learning Center in May of 2007.

Miss Maria, Lead Teacher, Volunteer Coordinator
Miss Maria has her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Monterey Peninsula College. She holds a Master Teacher Permit from issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Maria has been working with preschool children since 2005, and has been with Great Beginnings Early Learning Center since 2007.

Miss Jillian, Teacher
Miss Jillian has 21 units in Early Childhood Education and is currently working toward her associate degree. She has been working with preschool children since 2011 and has been with Great Beginnings Early Learning Center since 2015. She has worked as a teacher, a lead teacher and a staff coordinator during that time.

Miss Mariss, Teacher
Miss Mariss has 18 units in Early Childhood Education and is currently working on her Associates Degree. She has been working as a preschool teacher since 2006 and has worked for Great Beginnings Early Learning Center since 2011.
